Personal plant care, for iPhone and iPad

Your plants remember nothing. You shouldn't have to.

Fancy Planties logs every watering, feed, and repot so you stop guessing. A care journal that reads your schedule, not the other way around.

Why Fancy Planties

Reminders that know a cactus is not a fern.

Generic reminder apps will tell you to water everything on Wednesday. Plants don't work on Wednesdays.

Every plant in your collection has a different watering rhythm, a preferred season, a soil type, a light requirement, and a care history that compounds over months. A countdown timer doesn't know any of that. Fancy Planties does — because you've told it, and it remembers everything you've logged.

The care schedule adjusts as you log. A Calathea watered late in December gets a gentler January schedule. A Monstera you've repotted gets a 90-day settling window before the fertiliser reminder kicks back in. The app works from your plant's actual history, not a generic chart.

What you get

Five parts. One collection.

Everything your plants need you to track.

  1. A care log that compounds

Log waterings, feeds, repots, flushes, and cleans with one tap. The history builds a picture of each plant over weeks and months — not just what's due next, but what you've done before.

  2. Schedules from real species data

Fancy Planties ships with care guides for over 200 species. Add a Monstera deliciosa and its default schedule is already sensible — adjusted for your climate zone and the season you add it in.

  3. Propagation logs

Track cuttings and offsets as their own entries. A propagation inherits the parent's species data, starts its own care history, and graduates to a full plant when you say it's ready.

  4. A handbook for every plant

Species pages cover light needs, humidity tolerance, common problems, and seasonal adjustments. Searchable, readable offline, and linked directly from each plant in your collection.

  5. A home-screen widget

Small and medium widgets show today's due care at a glance. Check what needs water before you've had your coffee. Supports the iOS lock screen.

The people behind the guides

Curators.

How care guides are written

Each species guide is written and reviewed by a curator — someone with hands-on experience with that plant in real growing conditions. The guides aren't scraped from Wikipedia or generated by a model. They come from people who've overwatered a Calathea and learned from it.

What curators do

Curators write the initial species guide, review community-flagged corrections, and update entries when care advice changes. A guide that's been approved by a curator carries that signal in the app.

How to become a curator

Curation is open. If you have genuine experience with a species or group of plants and want to contribute a guide or improve an existing one, email support@fancy-planties.com with what you grow and what you'd like to cover.

Common questions.

Is it free?

Yes at launch. The full app — care log, species guides, propagation tracking, widgets — is free when it hits the App Store. Pricing for any future premium tier will be announced well in advance.

What iOS version does it need?

iOS 26 and later. iPhone and iPad. No Android version is on the roadmap.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Logging care, reading species guides, and checking your schedule all work without a connection. Changes sync to the server when you're back online.

Does it track me or share my data?

No tracking, no ads, no third-party analytics. The only data Fancy Planties holds is what you give it: an account email, your plant collection, and care logs. The full details are in the privacy policy.

How many plants can I add?

No hard limit at launch. Add your full collection — 5 plants or 150.

Can I import from another app?

Not at launch, but it's on the post-launch list. If you have data from a specific app you'd like to migrate, email support and we'll prioritise the format that covers the most users.
