Common questions

How do I add a plant?

On the Plants tab, tap the + button in the top-right corner. Search for a plant by common name or scientific name, then fill in your nickname, room or location, and care schedule. You can add photos from your library after saving.

How do care reminders work?

When you add a plant, you set a fertilizer and cleaning schedule. The app tracks the last date you logged each care type and calculates when the next event is due. Overdue items appear on the Care tab. The iOS app sends push notifications for upcoming care tasks if you grant notification permission.

What are propagations?

The Propagations segment on the Plants tab tracks cuttings you are rooting. You can record the source plant, start date, current status (started, rooting, ready, or planted), and notes. When a propagation is ready, you can convert it to a full plant record.

How do I add a photo to a plant?

Open the plant's detail view and tap the photo area or the edit button. The iOS app uses the system photo picker — no library permission is requested unless you choose to upload a photo. Photos are stored on our servers and sync across devices.

How do I delete my account?

Account deletion is not yet available from within the app. Email support@fancy-planties.com from the address on your account and we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. This includes your plants, care history, propagations, and photos. The action is permanent.

I can't sign in.

Use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in screen to request a reset email. If you used Sign in with Apple, use the same Apple ID you signed up with. If you no longer have access to your sign-in method, email support@fancy-planties.com and we will help.

My data isn't syncing between the iOS app and the web app.

Both apps share the same backend. Pull to refresh on the Plants tab or Care tab to force a sync. If data is still missing after a few minutes, sign out and back in. If the problem continues, email support with your account email and a description of what is missing.

Will there be an Android version?

Not on the current roadmap. The app is available on iOS and as a web app at fancy-planties.com.
